A New Generation of Small Outboards
With the new DF8A and DF9.9A, Suzuki launches a new generation of small outboards designed with features that offer greater ease of use, better portability, and more economical operation. To accomplish this, Suzuki engineers based both the DF8A, which is new to the Suzuki lineup, and the DF9.9A on an all-new 208cm3 SOHC four-stroke engine that offers excellent fuel efficiency. They’ve also given both outboards new lightweight and compact designs that make transporting the outboard easier.
These features combined with Suzuki’s excellent reputation for durability and reliability, make the new DF8A and DF9.9A the perfect choice for powering small crafts or as a secondary engine on larger boats.

Suzuki engineers have succeeded in making these new outboards as compact and lightweight as possible. Comparing profiles it is obvious that the new DF9.9A is more compact than the original DF9.9A. What’s more is that the new model weighs 4.5kg less than its predecessor. Less weight and more compact designs make an outboard that is easier to carry and transport.
